Shepard Academic Resource Center: Home
Through the Holy Cross mission the Shepard Academic Resource Center at the University of Portland supports students and their families to help navigate the college experience to ensure they discover how they are a vital member of the community.
We also serve as a partner and resource for all campus faculty and staff who
provide services to students.
The Shepard Academic Resource Center strives to be the trusted resource for all students, families, faculty and staff interested in seeking guidance on the academic experience. We work will all students to ensure they are active participants in their academic lives, the campus community and the Portland community.
Holy Cross (Teaching, Faith and Service) – The values of Holy Cross are at the cornerstone of all services.
Individualization – We recognize the most effective way to build connections and help encourage growth is through personalized, one-on-one attention. We work individually with each person to help identify goals and the tools needed for goal attainment.
Honesty and Accuracy – Personal growth and community engagement thrive only when honest and accurate information is available. All resources offered are checked for accuracy prior to delivery.
Responsibility – In order for a community and the individuals within to thrive each and every member must take responsibility for their actions. We partner with students, families, faculty and staff to maintain a focus on realistic personal action planning.
