Studies Abroad: Toledo Summer
Curriculum:
Students will take one introductory Spanish class for 6 credit hours total. There are no pre-requisites for this program. This course is equivalent to SPN 101 and 102 on the home campus.

SPN 105 Accelerated Beginning Spanish – 6 credits (Native faculty from Spain)
The Experience:
Toledo has a rich heritage from the Jewish, Muslim, and Christian cultures from the early Middle Ages to the present time. Madrid is easily accessible by rail or bus.
Students will have the opportunity to develop Spanish skills in the classroom with faculty from Spain. Participants will reside in the residence at the Fundación Ortega y Gasset. Meals will be provided. Excursions may include trips to Madrid, Segovia, and the Route of Don Quixote. Upon their return to Portland, students will be prepared to enroll in 200-level Spanish courses.
Program Dates:
The program begins on Wednesday, May 8, 2013. Students will depart by 10 am on Friday, June 14, 2013.
Cost:
The program cost is $4,800. This cost includes tuition for six credit hours, housing and meals, excursions (including some meals and admissions), and insurance. The cost does not include airfare.
