Colleen French

Instructor, School of Nursing

Colleen French is a 2015 University of Portland School of Nursing alumna, playing four years on the UP women’s basketball team. She is currently in the UP doctor of nursing practice program. For the past five years, Colleen has been working as a R.N., primarily as an emergency room nurse for Providence Health and Services. She has also worked in a variety of other hospital settings, including the intensive care unit, post anesthesia care unit, endoscopy, medical surgical, and senior psychiatric. Colleen has worked as an adjunct instructor in the Learning Resource Center and as clinical faculty for senior capstone students for the past two years. She looks forward to bringing her clinical nursing and teaching experience to support student learning as her own faculty members did during her time as a UP undergraduate. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, surfing, playing basketball, and spending time with family and friends.
