Prior to joining the UP School of Nursing, Molly Sperry was the assistant department chair of nursing at Sumner College. She started her nursing career in 2006 in the pediatric intensive care unit in San Diego. She has provided critical care pediatric nursing in Los Angeles and pediatric phone triage at Randall Children’s Hospital in Portland. Molly is an international board-certified lactation consultant, certified pediatric nurse, and certified nurse educator. She completed her master’s degree in nursing education at Grand Canyon University and is working on her doctorate of nursing practice in nursing education at American Sentinel University. Molly lives with her family and when not teaching, enjoys getting in a good Pilates workout or planning her next trip to see Madonna in concert. Her favorite thing about teaching is being able to be a part of shared learning experiences. Students are a constant source of new knowledge for Molly and she strives to help them feel valued and well-equipped for the nursing world once they leave her classroom.
