Traci KittermanTraci Kitterman returns to the University of Portland after working at the Portland Veterans Affairs Medical Center (PVAMC) for 32 years. Traci earned both her bachelor and master of science in nursing from UP. She has served in a variety of nursing settings and positions, including the medical/surgical unit, ambulatory care, telephone care, recruiting, and administration. She ended her tenure at PVAMC as associate chief nursing officer in 2016. As a professional nurse, teaching has been incorporated into her daily activities, whether as a staff nurse or a nurse administrator. Among many other topics, Traci has provided training and presentations on workplace bullying awareness both for nurses working in direct care and at the leadership level and has led trainings for Nursing Professional Standards Boards in Oregon, Washington, and Alaska. She has served as nursing adjunct faculty at George Fox University and Concordia University. Traci has received multiple awards for performance and exemplary contributions over the course of her career. She looks forward to the opportunity to share from the vast trove of experience and knowledge she has gained and to role model professionalism for future nurses.
