Maj. Robert Murphy

Maj. Robert Murphy earned his undergraduate degree in economics with a minor in business administration from East Carolina University. Following college, he worked in finance and sales before joining the Army in 2005. His first assignment was with the 173rd Airborne in Vicenza, Italy with two deployments to Afghanistan. Maj. Murphy was next assigned to Fort Bragg, followed by an appointment to Cal Poly and Claremont McKenna in Los Angeles as an Assistant Professor of Military Science where he taught military history, military science and nonverbal communication. He was stationed in Saudi Arabia for two years, followed by an assignment at Fort Irwin where he had two key developmental positions in the 11th Armored Calvary Regiment.
