Why did you decide to enroll at UP? I chose the University of Portland because I come from a small town and have always appreciated that sense of community. When I toured UP, my tour guide saw a friend in every building we went into and that really resonated with me. What I love about UP is that you have friends everywhere but will also meet new people each semester. I appreciate being recognized on campus by my peers and my professors; it feels just like home.
Favorite UP event: I love going to all of the sporting events on campus! Baseball season is my favorite because the sun starts coming out again after the cold winter. I love being at a D1 school because the level of play is so high and we play some pretty popular teams like Gonzaga during basketball season. As students we get into all of the games for free and often times there's a lot of free stuff being given out!
What are your plans after UP? After I graduate with my Bachelors in Nursing and minor in Psychology, I plan on staying in the Portland area and living with some of my best friends. Many of my friends are staying here after graduation and I am looking forward to all of the shared experiences we will have working in local hospitals. In a few years, I hope to start my travel nurse career and head over to the East Coast!
