Residence Hall: I lived in Kenna Hall my first-year and Fall Semester my sophomore year until I studied abroad in London the Spring semester of my sophomore year and now I live in the residential area off-campus.

Why did you decide to enroll at UP?
I enrolled at UP primarily for the Nursing program but after visiting the campus, I felt at home seeing the great community UP has here as well as all of the opportunities and resources available here on campus as a student.

Best memory from living in the residence halls?
My favorite memory from living in the residence halls has to be Kenna Kickball where the two floors of Kenna play against each other in a game of kickball. It's always so fun because we make shirts and we're all outside on a cold Portland morning running at the East Quad kickball diamond with some Christie boys reffing.

Favorite UP activity?
My favorite thing to do at UP is go to the gym, whether that be for my own individual workout or to take a Zumba class, it's always fun letting some energy out at the gym.

Favorite UP event?
My favorite event here on campus at the University of Portland has to be Pilipino Cultural Night (PCN), the Filipino-American Student Association’s cultural night celebration, which is all student-run and student-led. We start preparing after Fall Break in the Fall Semester with our dances, decorations and costume making and showcase all our work when we get back from Spring Break. It’s always a fun time and rewarding seeing the results of all of our work and dedication.

Favorite meal served on campus?
Quesadillas are my favorite meal served on campus and I was so happy when they brought them back to the Pilot House menu, they're my favorite late night snack!

Plans after UP?
My plans after UP are to take and pass the NCLEX and find work in a hospital in the Portland area.

Favorite Portland area destination?
Alberta St. is my favorite Portland destination as it has all the food restaurants you can think of from Salt & Straw to Thai food, sushi, and some bubble tea--it has everything you can be craving!

Favorite UP professor?
My favorite UP professor is Holly Simpson who teaches some of the Nursing courses. She is so sweet, understanding and knowledgeable in the coursework!

Favorite UP class?
Anatomy and Physiology II is my favorite UP class because it was so interesting learning about the body and our body systems and how they're all interconnected.

Fun Fact
One fun fact me is that I can say the alphabet backwards!

Favorite Quote
My favorite quote is, "You got this!" I've kept this quote as my wallpaper since coming here to UP as it's a daily mindfulness meditation to remind myself that I've made it this far and I got this.

What is one piece of advice you would give yourself if you were a high school senior again?
One piece of advice I would give myself if I were in high school would definitely be to "go for it." It's up to you to make those opportunities available for you and to take advantage of them--you don't know what great memories and lessons can come from them until you try! Also to not procrastinate on applications.
