Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In pursuit of my PhD in a biology research field!
Favorite core class?
THE 101. Coming from a completely non-religious background, I was required to attend a Hinduism meditation for a paper, and it was so different from anything I've ever been exposed to. I loved trying something new!
Favorite professor and why?
Dr. Katie O'Reilly. She is really outgoing and friendly, and helped me find my passion for conservation biology.
Favorite Portland landmark?
The waterfront park. It's such a beautiful area to run or walk along, and there's so many fun activities going on.
I can identify over 80 different species of birds #birdnerd
Activities or clubs you are involved with or other leadership positions?
Women's Track and Field runner, Biology lab TA, OHSU cardiology lab intern/technician. Studied abroad in Broome, Australia in the Summer of 2011!
What is a Pilot?
A pilot is a passionate, innovative, and motivated student who looks forward to making a real difference. Pilots are always happy!
Favorite Pilots After Dark event?
The back alley dance party of course! You would never ever be in this area of campus, so it's hilarious to me that they put on a dance party here. Always a great time.
Why did you decide to enroll at University of Portland?
I was really impressed with the study abroad program here at UP. The financial aid was always really awesome, especially for someone so far away!
