Direct Deposit & Accounts Payable

Employees

All employees are expected to setup a direct deposit bank account and an accounts payable bank account. In Banner 9, there is now the option to have multiple direct deposit accounts and to control how your pay is distributed between them. Accounts payable accounts are where you receive payments from the University for loan disbursements, student account refunds, paychecks, and travel and expense reimbursements.

Students

All students are expected to establish an accounts payable bank account to receive payments from the University for loan disbursements, student account refunds, paychecks, and travel and expense reimbursements. This can be done through Self-Serve Banner. Note: students who are also employed by the University should see the "Student Workers" section below

All students who are also employed by the University must have both a direct deposit bank account and accounts payable bank account setup. Accounts payable accounts are where you receive payments from the University for loan disbursements, student account refunds, paychecks, and travel and expense reimbursements.

• Promotes sustainability.
• Eliminates the possibility of lost/stolen checks.
• Enables faster, more secure deposits while reducing the possibility of theft and fraud.

We do understand that there are some situations when arranging for direct deposit is not possible. In these cases, please complete the Direct Deposit Opt Out Form.
