Travel to Portland

The University is located just ten miles from Portland International Airport (PDX), an award-winning airport with service to many domestic and international cities. More information on air transportation to Portland is available here.

Additionally, Portland receives regular Amtrak service and is conveniently located on Interstates 5 and 84.

Portland is a dynamic, vibrant city with much to offer its visitors. UP’s hometown features the amenities of a major city (an international airport, an efficient public transportation system, major league sports teams, and plentiful museums and art galleries) and the charms of a small town (plentiful arts and crafts fairs, independent bookstores, and local traditions). Plus, the stunning Oregon Coast and the spectacular Columbia River Gorge are an easy drive from campus.
