Communication

Members of the University of Portland teaching and learning community share information and resources in a variety of ways.

Academic Update

The monthly Academic Update is an important communication tool used by the Office of the Provost. With information around academics and other matters affecting faculty members and all academic units, this is a targeted email message that you will receive in your UP email. Keep an eye out for these important updates. Past Academic Updates are archived on PilotsUP.

TL Community Blog

This blog, located at https://sites.up.edu/tl/ is a product of the Teaching and Learning Collaborative. The blog showcases faculty submissions, encouraging faculty to blog about their experiences in the classroom and to use this as a platform to spark ideas and to share successes and challenges. The blog looks to fuel conversations and collaboration in our academic community.

All faculty will be welcome as writers and we look forward to the content contributed by our users. Visit the blog to learn how you can contribute.

TLC Teaching Tips of the Week

In every issue of UPBeat, you’ll find access to a peer-to-peer pedagogical resource (reading, video, RFP) meant to inspire you and to be consumed in the time it takes you to savor a cup of tea or other beverage of your choice at your desk. An archive of TLC Teaching Tips of the Week is available here.
