Educational Resources

  • Saturday Academy: For STEM education opportunities for students in 2nd-12th grade see Saturday Academy
  • Quoted has an article on design principles for robotics teams and future engineers. The article gives a thorough analysis on how robotics components relate to cars.
  • American University has made two guides to aid in the STEM development of P-12 students. The first guide teaches the parents of P-12 children on how they can best prepare their children for the world of STEM at each phase of their education. The second guide is aimed at the parents of K-5 students, describing how toys can inspire a child to further success in STEM.
  • QUBES is a community of math and biology educators who share resources and methods for preparing students to tackle real, complex, biological problems. Explore their educational resources and services on their website.

  • Changing the Curve: Women in Computing. This article explores the history and influence of women in computer science, looking at some of the field's key figures and then reviewing some statistics on how women's representation in technical fields has evolved over the last several decades. 

Grants/Scholarships

  • Karma for Kara Foundation: This grant is directed towards kids 18 and under with a rolling deadline. It offer grants between $250 and $1,000 to complete service projects in the applicant’s community.
