Outgoing shipping procedures for current move out

Our hours of operation are as follows:

Friday, March 13, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Saturday, March 14, 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Sunday, March 15, 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Monday, March 17,  8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Tuesday, March 18, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

To maintain social distancing, we are limiting the number of students allowed into Mailing Services at one time.

Mail and package procedures as of Monday, March 16

WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO PICK UP ALL PACKAGES BEFORE LEAVING CAMPUS

Mail and packages for on-campus students received at the University of Portland will continue to be processed, and you will receive the package email notification.  All packages will be held at Mailing Services. 

If you returned to your permanent address, please contact Printing and Mailing Services at mailcenter@up.edu to discuss possible options of having your package sent to your current location. 

Note if you remain on campus, packages will be available for pickup at Printing and Mailing Services, Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Outgoing USPS mail and packages must be received in Mailing Services by 8:00 a.m. or 2:45 p.m. daily. Fed Ex packages must be received by 2:15 p.m. and UPS packages must be received by 3:00 p.m. 

Packages and envelopes hand-delivered to mailing services should be given to mailing services staff rather than dropped in the mail slots.

Packages with prepaid labels may be dropped off any time during office hours Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Mailing services is not allowed to ship alcohol, batteries, firearms, or potentially flammable items such as perfumes.

Incoming mail is picked up at USPS at 8:30 a.m.

All express mail deliveries are received at the afternoon pick up time of 3 p.m.

International Packages

We only accept outgoing international packages with a prepaid shipping label/customs form.  You can prepare and pay using the online Click and Ship tool available at USPS.com. Custom forms are also required for APO/FPO/DPO and US territories. For detailed information go to USPS.com.
