Counseling Appointments

Schedule an Appointment

Counseling appointments are scheduled online through the secure patient portal.

If you cannot access the patient portal, please call the Health & Counseling office at 503.943.7134. If you get our voicemail, please state your name and call back number in your message.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, closed for lunch daily from 12:00pm to 1:00pm

If you need to speak with a counselor urgently at any time, you may call the Health & Counseling office at 503.943.7134, and choose option 3 in our voicemail to be connected with the Pilot Helpline (on-call counselor).


Cancel or Change an Appointment

Some appointments may be cancelled through the secure patient portal. Please log in and go to Appointments to see if your appointment can be cancelled independently. If you are not able to cancel online, please call the Health & Counseling office at 503.943.7134 or email us at hcc@up.edu to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If you get our voicemail, please state your name and call back number in your message.

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we appreciate at least 24 hours notice before your scheduled appointment time. We value this notice, as it allows another student to utilize the appointment time.


Cancellation & No-Show Policy

We recognize that appointments sometimes need to be cancelled or rescheduled. To cancel and/or schedule an appointment, please log into the secure patient portal or call the Health & Counseling office at 503-943-7134 and notify the receptionist. We ask that you please cancel or reschedule as early as you are able; at least 24 hours' notice is preferred in the interest of maintaining our appointment availability for all students.

The Counseling Center cannot continue to offer services to students who repeatedly cancel or no-show their scheduled appointments. If you miss an appointment without prior notification (no-show), please call or email (hcc@up.edu) to confirm your next scheduled appointment as soon as possible. If you do not call or email to confirm your next scheduled appointment within the next business week, all future appointments will be cancelled, and you will no longer be an active client of the Counseling Center. If your file has been inactivated, you are welcome to resume services at the Counseling Center as long as you are eligible, and you are invited to contact our office for assistance in the process of reinitiating services.
