JCU Rome, Italy

Study abroad in Rome for a semester!

Explore Rome’s bustling cobbled streets, shop in colorful markets, visit museums, watch talented street artists dotted around the city, and experience firsthand Italy's renowned culinary scene. Visit grand historical places like the Colosseum, the Pantheon, St. Peter’s Basilica, and Fontana di Trevi. Take free walking tours to see all the hidden gems! In this program you will be in the Trastevere neighborhood, but don’t let that stop you from exploring the others. Each neighborhood is ripe with its own culture and history, from gelaterie to historical sites to the arts. Use the streets of the Italian capital to learn and grow in every way you want to.

Study at John Cabot University (JCU), an American university located in the heart of Rome. JCU offers a variety of courses that will complete major requirements for most majors as well as Core requirements. Explore the nearby area with newfound friends and treat the streets of Rome as your own classroom. You will have the opportunity to join trips led by JCU’s Student Services and Cultural Programs Office, join clubs, participate in the Recreational Sports Program, and participate in multiple community service opportunities.

Live in shared apartments with other U.S. students, and get to know your Italian neighbors. The apartments are a short commute to the JCU campus.

Our office will be with you every step of the way.  While you apply to this program, you will be able to meet with our staff or one of our Student Advisors who have just returned from their own time abroad. We offer guidance and support during the application process, then we will ensure you are prepared for your trip with mandatory predeparture orientations and informational sessions and continue to work with you as you reintegrate into the UP campus life.

The cost of this program is similar to the cost of Tuition and Room + Board for a single semester on campus. Institutional aid and scholarships apply. We also have a UP Study Abroad Scholarship you can apply to!
