University of Portland Orchestra concert to be held 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1
The orchestra will perform its “Music for a Winter’s Evening, From Russia and Beyond” concert with a variety of classic works. They will perform Rimsky-Korsakov’s complete Christmas Eve Suite from his opera of the same name and Leontovych’s Carol of the Bells. Also featured will be Reed’s Russian Christmas Music, as well as excerpts from Berlioz’s L’Enfance du Christ Berlioz and Brahm’s There is a Rose in Flower.
