Retreat Leaders

Share your gifts. Grow your faith. Improve the experience. Deepen your understanding.

These are some of the many reasons to become a retreat leader! Campus Ministry retreats are possible through the variety of students who share their gifts and time with the community. Here are some opportunities.

• 

  Leaven Pre-Orientation Immersion—There are two leadership teams that run the Leaven Immersion. One group plans, prepares, and cooks all the meals during the immersion. A second group organizes and facilitates all of the Leaven experiences. Applications are part of the campus-wide leadership application process and become available at the beginning of the spring semester.

• Encounter with Christ (EWC)—On the Encounter with Christ retreat, student leaders invite their peers into a vibrant experience of Christian faith that includes fellowship, service, prayer, reflection, and faith-sharing.

  • A prerequisite to a leadership role on EWC is having previously attended the retreat at UP. In April, leaders are selected for the next October Encounter, and in the beginning of November, leaders are selected for the two spring Encounter retreats.

• Hall Retreats—Many of our residence halls form retreat teams to plan for and facilitate their fall retreats. Contact your FFA or Hall Director for more information!
