Prayer Schedule

The Chapel of Christ the Teacher, designed by world-famous Northwest architect, Pietro Belluschi, is the University’s center of faith. The chapel is open every day for prayer and meditation from 6:30 a.m.-11:30 p.m. Masses take place at different times of the day in order to give all students opportunities to worship, no matter what their schedules may be. Below you will find the summer Mass schedule as well as the academic year schedule.

Christmas Break Schedule:

The Mass schedule for the Christmas break is as follows:

  • Sunday Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Christ the Teacher on Sunday, December 15th and Sunday, December 22nd.
  • Daily Mass will be celebrated, as usual, Monday through Friday until December 23rd.
  • The Chapel will close after the noon Mass concludes on December 23rd and remain closed until the noon Mass resumes on January 2nd.
  • Sunday Masses will resume with the celebration of the Epiphany on Sunday, January 5th.
  • The 8:00 p.m. Sunday Mass will resume on Sunday, January 12th.

  • Weekday Mass: 12:05 p.m. in the Chapel of Christ the Teacher

  • Eucharistic Adoration:
    • 8:00-9:00 p.m. on Tuesdays
    • 11:20-11:50 a.m. on the first Friday of each month
  • Evening Prayer: Join the Congregation of Holy Cross priests and brothers as they pray the Divine Office Monday-Wednesday and Friday at 5:40 p.m.

  • Reconciliation: 
    • 8:00-9:00 p.m. on Tuesdays
    • 11:20 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Fridays
    • 7:15-8:00 p.m. on Sundays 

All students of all faith backgrounds are welcome to attend Mass. Campus Ministry also keeps a directory of off-campus churches to assist students in following their own religious traditions. See this page for more information. The Muslim Prayer Room is accessible from the lower level of Christie Hall, next to the International Student Services Office. The room is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., and students can also request after hours access.
