Prayer Schedule

The beautiful Chapel of Christ the Teacher, designed by world-famous Northwest architect, Pietro Belluschi, is the University’s center of faith. The chapel is open every day for prayer and meditation from 6:30 a.m.-11:30 p.m. Masses take place at different times of the day in order to give all students opportunities to worship, no matter what their schedules may be.

  • Christmas Break Liturgy Schedule:
    • Sunday, December 16th: 10:30 a.m. Mass only
    • Monday, December 17th-Friday, December 21st: Daily Mass at 12:05 p.m. continues
    • December 23rd: 10:30 a.m. Mass only
    • December 24th-January 1st: No Mass (University is closed)
      *Including no Mass on Sunday, 12/30
    • Wednesday, January 2nd: Daily Mass resumes at 12:05 p.m.
    • Sunday, January 6th: 10:30 a.m. Mass only
    • Sunday, January 13th: All Masses resume (10:30 a.m., 4:30 p.m., 9:00 p.m.)

      *Confessions will be held at the usual 12:30-1:00 p.m. time slot on Fridays that there is Mass.
  • Sunday Mass:
    • 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Christ the Teacher
    • 9:00 p.m. Student Mass in St. André Chapel, Tyson Hall
  • Weekday Mass: 12:05 p.m. in the Chapel of Christ the Teacher
  • Residence Hall Student Masses:
    • Monday:
      • Corrado: 9:00 p.m.
      • Fields: 9:00 p.m.
      • Christie: 10:15 p.m.
    • Tuesday:
      • Tyson & Haggerty Halls: 8:00 p.m.
      • Lund Family: 9:30 p.m.
      • Shipstad: 10:15 p.m.
      • Villa Maria: 10:15 p.m.
    • Wednesday:
      • Mehling: 9:15 p.m.
      • Kenna: 10:15 p.m.
      • Schoenfeldt: 10:15 p.m.
  • Eucharistic Adoration: Tuesdays from 8:30-9:15 p.m. during the academic year
  • Evening Prayer: Join the Congregation of Holy Cross priests and brothers as they pray the Divine Office Monday-Wednesday and Friday at 5:40 p.m.
  • Reconciliation: Tuesdays from 8:30-9:30 p.m. (during academic year) and Fridays 12:30-1:00 p.m. or by appointment

For students of other religious backgrounds, the University provides a Muslim Prayer Room, located in the lower level of Christie Hall, as well as a directory of off-campus churches to assist all students in following their own religious traditions. See this page for more information.
