Lent and Holy Week

Lenten Offerings

Lent is a liturgical season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving in preparation for the joy of Easter. The following opportunities are available during the Lenten season:

Friday Adoration: 11:00-11:45 a.m. in the Chapel of Christ the Teacher (Tuesday Adoration from 8:30-9:15 p.m. will continue as well.)

Stations of the Cross: Fridays at 5:00 pm in the Chapel of Christ the Teacher. All are welcome to stay for Evening Prayer with the Holy Cross community at 5:40 pm.

Weekly Challenge: Follow Campus Ministry on social media to find a weekly challenge offered by our various faith communities throughout the season of Lent!

Reconciliation: Tuesdays 8:30-9:30 p.m. and Fridays 12:30-1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Christ the Teacher

Additional Prayer Resources:

  • All are invited pick up a Magnificat with daily Lenten reflections from the Chapel of Christ the Teacher.
  • The new app, Hallow, offers several types of guided prayer, including Centering Prayer, the Examen, Lectio Divina, and more. The creators are offering three months of free use to serve as an aid for your Lenten journey. Available most places you find apps and at:

Holy Week

Palm Sunday of the Lord’s Passion

  • Mass at 10:30 a.m. w/ outdoor procession
  • Mass at 4:30 p.m. w/ indoor procession
  • Student Mass at 9:00 p.m. w/ indoor procession (St. André Bessette, C.S.C. Chapel)

 Holy Monday:

  • Daily Mass – 12:05 p.m.

Holy Tuesday:

  • Daily Mass – 12:05 p.m.
  • Sacrament of Reconciliation – 6:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.
  • Eucharistic Adoration – 8:30 p.m. until 9:15 p.m.

Holy Wednesday

  • Daily Mass – 12:05 p.m.
  • Visio Divina – 12:30 p.m. (following the conclusion of the daily Mass)

Holy Thursday

  • Morning Prayer – 9:00 a.m.
  • Mass of the Lord’s Supper – 4:30 p.m.

Good Friday

  • Morning Prayer – 9:00 a.m.
  • Stations of the Cross Pilgrimage – 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. 
    • Led by the Servant Leadership Team. We will begin at the Chapel following Morning Prayer and will walk to the Downtown Chapel of St. André Bessette (return travel via bus with tickets provided).
  • Sacrament of Reconciliation – 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • Good Friday Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion – 3:00 p.m.

Holy Saturday

  • Morning Prayer – 9:00 a.m.
  • Easter Vigil Mass of the Lord’s Resurrection – 8:30 p.m.

Easter Sunday

  • Mass of the Lord’s Resurrection – 10:30 a.m.
    *No 4:30 p.m. or 9:00 p.m. Mass
