On-Campus Crisis Resources

If you or someone you know is in imminent danger, call Campus Safety at 503.943.4444. They will respond and coordinate with additional emergency services as needed.  

If you urgently need to speak with a counselor at any time, you may call the Pilot Helpline (on-call counselor) at 503.943.7134, and select option 3.

For on-campus crisis counseling (same day, in-person appointments): call 503.943.7134.

Crisis appointments with UP Counselors are available to students who are experiencing an urgent need for timely mental health support, which may include: 

  • Active suicidal or homicidal ideation
  • Engagement in self-harm
  • Oppression or discrimination based on a marginalized identity
  • Family or relationship crisis
  • Sexual assault or other interpersonal violence
  • Other student-identified crisis

During the crisis appointment, a UP mental health counselor will work with student to ensure safety and develop an actionable safety plan.
