Safety Information

If you suspect a non-community member is on campus or see something suspicious, do not hesitate to contact Campus Safety, 503-943-7161. Additional resources to educate the community on safety and security practices are also available in this section.

If you have a life-and-death emergency, please do not hesitate to call 911. If you need to report a non-emergency crime like theft from a vehicle, hit and run (non-injury), traffic accident (non-injury), or any other crimes that do not involve guns or domestic violence, you can submit a report to the Portland Police Bureau. The link will walk you through the report process, you will need to set up an account. Once you submit the report you will receive a response with a T and then numbers. This "T number" is a temporary case number. The report will be reviewed and then you will be emailed with the actual case number and a copy of the report. This can be given to the insurance provider as needed.
If you submit a report request online to the Portland Police Bureau it can take 4 weeks to 4 months to be processed due to the volume of requests. Report requests made outside of the online reporting process must be submitted through Gov QA and again they will need to set up an account and pay a fee (unless you are a victim). Requests can be made on the City of Portland request website.
