What are you most excited about for your Next Port?

Microsoft will allow me the opportunity to explore various aspects of what it means to be a marketer. I look forward to the opportunity to learn and grow within my first role after college.

What piece of advice would you give to yourself as a first-year student?

If I could go back in time, I would advise my first-year self to get involved in the community right away. Although I eventually joined the ASUP student government in my junior year, I realized that my college experience was much more enjoyable when I was more engaged within the community. Not only did I develop new skills through my co-curricular activities, but I also had the opportunity to meet and make friends with people who I might not have encountered in my classes.

Was there a faculty or staff member, or department that specially helped you land your Next Port?

I want to give a shout-out to Max Kalchthaler from the Career Center for his invaluable assistance during my recruitment process with Microsoft. I scheduled a meeting with him to prepare for the interviews, and he proved to be an excellent resource of knowledge. Thanks to his guidance, I felt much more confident during the interviews and was able to showcase my skills and experience to the best of my abilities.
