On Saturday, January 28, President Donald J. Trump announced significant changes to immigration policies affecting people from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. These changes have, understandably, raised concerns and created anxiety for many in the University of Portland community.

School of Nursing announces changes to Learning Resource Center

The School of Nursing’s Learning Resource Center will be undergoing major changes in the upcoming year. Comprised of a 3-phase development plan, nursing students will see upgrades to existing facilities as well as new spaces in the already state-of-the art model hospital and outpatient clinic labs.

For the seventh consecutive year, the University of Portland was the top Oregon school in Kiplinger's Personal Finance annual ranking of best values in its private universities category for 2017. The University of Portland was ranked 58th nationwide among all private universities.

All members of the University of Portland community are invited to celebrate the Feast Day of Blessed Basil Moreau, C.S.C., founder of the Congregation of Holy Cross, on Friday, January 20, at 5 p.m., at Mass in the Chapel of Christ the Teacher. Sr. Sue Bruno, O.S.F., Fields Hall Director, will be formally honored as a recipient of the 2016 Spirit of Holy Cross Award, the highest honor bestowed by the Congregation upon its lay collaborators.
