Accessible Education Services (AES) determines eligibility for accommodations and oversees the facilitation of reasonable adjustments, which are implemented by UP faculty and staff under the guidance of the ADA and Section 504. These supports serve hundreds of students with disabilities through measures such as extended exam time, housing and dining accommodations, assistive technology, and other individualized accommodations based on student needs.
Students receiving AES support experience the following types of disabilities: learning disabilities, traumatic brain injury, attention deficit/ hyperactivity disorder, psychiatric disabilities, vision and hearing impairments, and chronic health and mobility impairments.
