Below you'll find the to-do list and deadlines for registration. If your first semester at UP will be in the Fall, see the "Deadline for Fall Admits". If you will be starting in the Spring, see the "Deadline for Spring Admits".

Registration & Advising Survey: You will receive an email to your UP email address with a link to the survey.

As soon as possible, best by June 10

Math Placement Test: Take the Math placement test if required for your major.

Language Placement Test: Required for all College of Arts & Sciences B.A. majors, or if you're interested in taking a language course.

Meet UP Phone Interview: Schedule a Meet UP Appointment with an Orientation Assistant. Information from this conversation will be shared with your school or college, and will be used to register you for classes for your first term.

Accessible Education Services: If you would like to request accommodations for a disability at the University of Portland, contact AES.

As soon as possible, accepted after enrollment confirmation. Housing accommodations are due June 10.

High School Transcripts: Send your final high school transcripts to UP Office of Admissions.

Program Counselors Build Schedule: During this time, your schedule is being built and is not finalized. Changes may be made by Program Counselors at any time. Please keep an eye on your UP email address for any updates.

View Your Schedule: Contact your program counselor if you have questions. Please note that your class schedule uses the abbreviation R for Thursday. Classes that are held on Tuesday and Thursday will be listed on your schedule as, "TR."

Buy Your Textbooks: We suggest waiting until your schedule is completely finalized to buy your books.

First Week of Classes: Changes can be made to your schedule during this week. Please note that schedule changes are only guaranteed for students needing adjustments for: incoming transfer or AP/IB credit, language placements, AES accommodations, or a change in major. Schedule changes based on personal preference are not guaranteed and may not be accommodated due to limited course openings. The deadline to add or drop classes from your schedule is the Friday of the first week of the semester.
