Favorite spot on campus: The Grotto next to the Chapel of Christ the Teacher. In the spring and summertime, it's surrounded by rose bushes and greenery and in the evenings the flicker of the candles makes it a perfect place to rest and reflect.
Favorite Portland area destination: The International Rose Test Garden — with over 600 varieties of roses, winding paths and free admission you can wander around for hours and still see something new.
Favorite Oregon spot: Sunset Bay Beach State Park — you can drive your vehicle right onto the beach, it's enormous with lots of room to spread out, build a bonfire and fly a kite.
