Admissions

Please read a letter from University of Portland President Rev. Mark Poorman regarding our Fall 2020 plans.

Deadline extended:

The enrollment confirmation deadline for first-year students has been extended to July 1, 2020. We want to make sure you have enough time to make your college decision.

In addition to the phone and video chats we currently offer, the Office of Admissions has added some limited small group visits. There will be two on-campus visits daily (9-11 a.m. and 1:30-3:30 p.m. Pacific Time) that include a walking campus tour and small group information session. On-campus visits are available August 12-14 and resume after current student orientation on August 24.

Students may bring up to two guests from their household to attend the campus visit. All visitors must wear a face mask while on campus, both outside and inside buildings. We encourage you to bring your own mask for your visit as the Office of Admissions has a limited supply of disposable masks. Upon arrival, visitors will have their temperature taken and be asked basic health questions about possible COVID symptoms. All visitor areas will be cleaned between each group of visitors.

*Please note that for the foreseeable future, we are unable to accept walk-in visitors. All visiting families must have a pre-scheduled campus visit through the Office of Admissions.

You may also email your area's admissions counselor directly with any questions. If you do not see your region listed, email your questions to admissions@up.edu and we will respond as soon as possible.

Our current students are also available to talk about life on The Bluff. To schedule a video chat with a current student, please email visit@up.edu.
