Study abroad in Fremantle for a semester! 

Visit world-class art galleries and museums such as the newly refurbished WA Museum Boola Bardip. Shop and catch a music or arts festival - including the third largest fringe festival in the world. Eat at one of the thousands of restaurants, take a walk in one of the biggest inner-city parks in the world, Kings Park, or take a dip in the pristine waters of Cottesloe Beach. Notre Dame’s beachside campus is located in the historic West End of Fremantle in Western Australia. Housed within beautifully restored heritage buildings, it provides the ambience of a university town with great character and charm. The iconic campus is close to the Fremantle Harbour – your gateway to taking one of your own selfies with the famous quokkas at Rottnest Island, all major transport hubs, cafés and restaurants that reflect the truly multicultural lifestyle of the port city, one-off fashion boutiques, and specialty shops. A range of music, cultural, and food festivals add a constant buzz to the European village-style atmosphere.  

You will study at the Fremantle Campus of University of Notre Dame Australia (UNDA). UNDA offers a variety of courses that will complete major requirements for most majors as well as Core requirements. Participate in excursions led by UNDA to places such as Caversham Wildlife Park and an AFL Game at Optus Stadium, and many more. Join clubs, participate in sports, and give back with community service options.  

Live in UNDA’s residence halls with other U.S. students, international students, and some local students as well.  

Our office will be with you every step of the way.  While you apply to this program, you will be able to meet with our staff or one of our Student Advisors who have just returned from their own time abroad. We offer guidance and support during the application process, then we will ensure you are prepared for your trip with mandatory predeparture orientations and informational sessions and continue to work with you as you reintegrate into the UP campus life.  

The cost of this program is similar to the cost of Tuition and Room + Board for a single semester on campus. Institutional aid and scholarships apply. We also have a UP Study Abroad Scholarship you can apply to!
