Group Life Insurance

The University provides Prudential term group insurance for full-time employees at no cost to the employee. Coverage is equal to 1.5 times annual salary, rounded up to the next highest thousand, with a minimum benefit of $25,000 and a maximum benefit of $100,000. Employees are eligible for this coverage on the first of the month following their start date.

Additional coverage for employees and their immediate family members is available from the same insurance carrier through a payroll deduction plan. Benefited employees and their dependents can enroll in additional supplemental life insurance during the Open Enrollment period or when a qualifying life event occurs.
