New Student Move In Day Traffic Map
On Thursday, August 21st, incoming first-year and transfer students and their families should arrive at University of Portland's main entrance located at 5000 N. Willamette Blvd. The first stop for all vehicles will be UP's Move In/Orientation Welcome Tent, where students will receive Orientation details and their University ID Card before proceeding to their assigned residence halls.
2. Submit Your UP ID Photo
Your UP ID is your PilotCard. Make your Move-In Day smooth and stress-free by submitting your PilotCard photo today. Submitting your photo now means your ID will be printed and ready for you when you arrive — no waiting in line, no extra steps on move-in day. Visit idphoto.UP.edu today to submit yours.
3. Rent Appliances
Are you interested in renting a refrigerator and/or microwave for your room? We have two great options available!
1. MoveUP
MoveUP is an exciting, on-campus sustainability initiative that provides students the opportunity to rent like-new refrigerators and microwaves at 70% off the normal retail price. Students can have rented units ready and waiting in their rooms on Move In Day! Inventory is limited! Click here to visit MoveUP's online store.
2. MicroFridge
MicroFridge is a national vendor who rents refrigerator/microwave combo units. These will also be delivered to campus and available in students' rooms on Move In Day. Review the flyer below and click here to learn more and rent a MicroFridge.
4. Ship Items Early
UP students can save time on Move In Day (and space in the car!) by shipping items to UP early.
The UP Mail Center will begin accepting students' items two weeks before Move In Day, or August 7, 2025.
