Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Taeya graduated from the University of Oregon in 2021 double majoring in Political Science and Theatre Arts. During her time there, she actively engaged in University Housing, holding roles in Hall Council and as a Resident Assistant, while also serving as President of the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) This experience ignited her passion for working with students and building community, leading her to the University of Portland in March of 2022. She started the Master of Arts in Higher Education and Student Affairs (MA HESA) program in Fall of 2022 and now, a year into the program, Taeya continues to foster her dedication to student success, aspiring to make a meaningful impact in the lives of college students and contribute to the advancement of higher education as a whole.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Taeya finds joy in various hobbies, such as grocery shopping, walking her dog, attending theater productions, cooking, and exploring new restaurants!
