Lupita Zamora
Assistant Hall Director, Mehling Hall

Lupita was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and attended the University of Portland where she studied Music and Spanish. During her time at UP, she dedicated much of her time to leading many different Campus Ministry programs, including Encounter Retreats, Chapel Choir as a Student Conducting Associate, and starting up and continuing Our Lady of Guadalupe celebrations. Lupita was also a Student Conducting Associate for the University Singers and a Faith and Formation Ambassador in Shipstad Hall. She loved living on campus all four years, two in Shipstad and two in HagTy!

Before arriving back on the bluff, Lupita worked as a music and Spanish teacher in Beaverton, and as a one-on-one aide, youth minister, and instructional assistant at the beloved local Holy Cross Catholic Church and School. Within all the jobs and roles she has held, Lupita came to realize her true passion for working with young people in transitional times of life (middle school and young adults, especially those in college); offering herself as a companion on their journey and as a person that cares and deeply loves them for who they are. Lupita is excited to have returned to the bluff in a role that allows her to live out her passions while also continuing her education.

In her free time, she loves to sing and play her instruments, do arts and crafts, make rosaries, thrift, travel, go to concerts, spend time with her amazing siblings and parents (and dog/cats), and eat!
